Words, sources & credits
Our word banks combine dictionaries, usage frequencies and editorial checks. We normalize and filter source data, combine it with other sources, and calculate game-specific scores. The sources do not endorse this game.
Kelly
Kelly (2017), Elena Volodina and Sofie Johansson Kokkinakis; enriched and distributed by Språkbanken Text, University of Gothenburg.
Kelly's learner levels support Swedish word familiarity and vocabulary difficulty. We match spelling and part of speech against SALDO/Flex candidates; Kelly is not used on its own to decide whether a word is valid. Learner levels are not puzzle difficulty ratings.
Our modifications: normalized spelling, filtering, matching with SALDO/Flex, and derived familiarity and difficulty scores. Kelly data is supplied without warranties under its licence.
